Journy is the brand new travel-lifestyle app powered by Ovation and made for the culturally curious viewer. Our programming centers around world travel, cultural tourism, and global citizenry, paired with immersive experiences and unique storytelling. Utilizing a network of talented and dedicated travel filmmakers, producers, and creators, Journy brings together the voices and stories that make us connected and human.
I’ve been developing Journy for more than two years, and it was a proud moment when we launched last month, on October 12th. We’re only a little over a month in, but it’s been exciting to see how viewers are engaging with the great programming we’ve launched with.
As acting GM of Journy, I’ve had the opportunity to drive the vision and direction of this exciting new brand. From the logo design and style guide to the programming and acquisitions, the channel has been my baby for some time now. And for the last couple of years, I’ve worked with some really great producers and creators making amazing stuff. I’m glad I’ve had the chance to know them and work with them, they’re all so cool, I wish I could travel like them. Alas, I just get upset stomach and headaches.
